Myotherapist

(03) 9021 8684

In 2003, Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science from ACU. Following this she became a primary school teacher for 10 years, before returning to study to follow her passion in the health care industry.

In 2016 she completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage and in 2017 she completed an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at RMIT University.

Emily has regularly been involved in various sporting clubs throughout her life and is currently involved as a sports trainer with the VU Western Spurs, a women’s football team that is connected with the VFLW Western Bulldogs.

While studying Remedial Massage, Emily travelled to India for two weeks, travelling to remote health camps and providing health care to those in need. This fuelled her passion for helping people and assisting them to be comfortable in their day to day life. This passion drives her to not only treat the symptoms of someone’s discomfort, but to investigate and find the underlying cause in an effort to prevent the pain from reoccurring.

Over the past 18 months, she has gained clinical experience by working alongside Chiropractors and Physiotherapists. She continues to be motivated to gain a deeper understanding of the human body and the most effective treatments for various conditions including headaches, lower back pain, hip pathologies, joint stiffness and musculoskeletal dysfunction.

She utilises a variety of therapies in her treatments, including manual soft tissue manipulation, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisations, stretching, and taping.
